This is one of those things where you have to decide whether or not to keep a good secret in your pocket or share it with everyone else. And we've always decided to share. These Carbotech brake pads are the hottest combo going right now at the front end of the field. The best set up with Spec Miata's is the XP10 in the front and the XP8 in the rear. We almost always put a less aggressive pad in the rear for brake bias reasons. It really gives the car a real good balance feel, and as a result the driver has more control of their race car. People are reporting dropped lap times from .2-.5 seconds a lap vs the Hawks. And that's not from the back of pack, but true front runners. I think brakes are a very personal preference item, so I'll leave it up to you to decide what you think, and then let me know. GameBoy not included The iCard‚Ñ¢ Pro System, when connected to an automated Timing and Scoring (T&S) system, receives its information for view by team members and fans. The T&S system consists of a transponder that is attached to each car and which transmits a unique ""signature"" such that each time the transponder passes over a timing loop a signal is sent to the T&S computer indicating that the car has passed the timing loop. The T&S computer then calculates the time, marries the transponder signal with a competitor name and car number, and records the result lap after lap. The T&S computer, as a normal part of its operating function, generates an output stream of messages and it is this data stream that the iCard‚Ñ¢ computer program receives. Consequently, the iCard‚Ñ¢ system simply passes information from the T&S system to your handheld iCard‚Ñ¢. Hondata has developed a special high temperature insulating gasket which replaces the stock intake gasket. The Miata manifold is heated in up to 5 places - From the cylinder head, the cold idle valve, the idle control valve and the throttle body heater. Hondata‚Äôs new gasket coupled with bypassing several heat sources significantly reduces the transfer of heat from the cylinder head to the intake manifold and incoming air giving you up to 5% more power. The intake manifold is made of aluminum and because it is heated by the cylinder head from combustion and coolant, it works to increase intake air temperature by as much as 75¬∞ F. In fact, for every 5¬∞ F rise in intake temperature, air density drops 1%. The hotter the air, the less fuel the computer injects to compensate for reduced oxygen. Around town, testing has shown an average drop of around 20 degrees F which is good for a 3 percent power increase. In certain conditions a 50¬∞ F drop has been measured. Even after 2 years, this is THE EXHAUST to have. OK, Here's the deal. On the 2004 ARRC winning car, this system produced 2hp and 2lb. of torque more than the expensive motorcycle style system that was used to win at Road Atlanta. This system also produced over 4hp and 4lb. of torque more than the Mazda Comp system. It also weighs 15.5 lbs compared to the 19.5 for the Mazda comp. The sound level is comparable to the Mazda comp exhaust and much quieter than a ""JD style"" exhaust. It has all mandrel bends which are much better than the crush ends you get at a muffler shop. Adjustable drop links for the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata. Made from Aluminum and anadized in your choice of red or black. This kit is complete with 4 adjustable drop links. We supply the kit with clevis pins and cotter pins instead of nuts and bolts, so that you can make changes to the sway bar during qualifying without needing to unbolt the drop links. Simply remove the cotter pin, change the setting, and replace. The front drop links get spacers so that there is zero bind in the drop link in any of the 3 (1.6) settings. These work with both new (single shear) and old (double shear) style lower control arms. You should have no bind in the sway bar links at all when installed. Other drop links on the market are too long, only right hand thread rod ends, and no spacers, so they have bind when the sway bar is in the full stiff position. Drop links come with the following pieces fully assembled: Spacers (2) Left (4) and Right (4) hand thread heim rod ends. Clevis pins (4) Cotter Pins (4) 3/8 Bolts and Nylock Nuts (4) Threaded (left and right) hex aluminum anadized body (4) Design change from the large picture, each link has 1 cotter pin for the top and 1 bolt for the bottom attachment.
